General Provident Fund
After the satisfactory completion of one year continuous service. It is compulsory for all employees to join the General Provident Fund (GPF) scheme. For this purpose the incumbent(except Gr-D employees as their GPF account no allotted by the head of office) need to apply in a prescribed format before the Account General (A&E), West Bengal a at least one month before the completion of one year service for obtaining the GPF Account number.
Monthly subscription to the provident fund should be deducted from the pay bill of the incumbent. The minimum mandatory GPF subscription is 6% of Basic pay + special pay,if applicable and maximum is total Basic Pay+Special Pay,if applicable.
